Painter

Painter applicants should be dependable, flexible, and eager to learn what may be new products and techniques. The abilities to lift 100 lbs. and wear a respirator for 8hrs. are requirements. A general knowledge of boats and machinery are also important.
Duties may include but are not limited to filling and fairing various materials including many different composites, woods, metals, fiberglass, etc... We use both epoxy and polyester fillers. Applying, sanding, and sometimes polishing many different products of both the marine and automotive industries are also common tasks. There is a lot of prep work involved as well as different paint applications including, spraying, brushing, rolling, and roll and tip. We use a variety of paint systems including, various Dupont products, Awl-Grip, Interlux, etc... The applicant must also be able to polish these products as well as gel-coat which is also often used. One must be able to set up there own environment taking safety and the part quality as well as productivity into account. Ventilation and over-spray must be closely monitored. Setting up scaffolding and access to large boats will also be necessary. General math and measurement skills are requirements.

Fiberglass Tech

Fiberglass techs should be dependable, flexible, and eager to learn what may be new products and techniques. The abilities to lift 100 lbs. and wear a respirator for 8 hrs. are requirements. A general knowledge of boats and machinery are also important.
Duties may include but are not limited to the full lay-up process. Including grinding, prepping, applying fiberglass matts and resins. We use a variety of different matts depending the job. Both polyester and epoxy resins are used. One may be responsible for the polishing and waxing of a plug and or mold. Experience with the vacuum bag process and any other lay-up techniques would be greatly accounted for in the hiring process. Jobs could vary from bulkhead and stringer installation, small plug to mold to part procedures, to possibly an entire hull. General math and measurement skills are a requirements.

Carpenter

All applicants must be dependable, flexible, and eager to learn what may be new products and techniques. The abilities to lift 100 lbs and wear a respirator for 8 hrs are requirements. One must also be willing to work with composite materials including fiberglass. A general knowledge of boats is necessary.

Duties may include but are not limited to...

* Assisting in laying out bare hulls for structural rough in, installation of structural grid systems and bulkheads, fabrication of interior module, vacuum bagging advanced composite panels, tabbing in interior structures, clean-up and organization

* Mill quantities of moldings for interior jointery

* Maintain woodworking machinery

Foreman

All applicants must be dependable, flexible, and eager to learn what may be new products and techniques. The abilities to lift 100 lbs. and wear a respirator for 8 hrs. are requirements. One must also be willing to work with composite materials including fiberglass.

Duties may include but are not limited to...

* Assisting in... development of CNC panel production, FRP tabbing of structural assemblies, vacuum bagging, design of new shop space, new tool spec., employee reviews (hiring/firing)

* Layout bare hull for stringers, bulkheads, flats, risers, etc...

* Develop and refine composite panel building system

* Organize and manage woodworking and assembly shop, including clean-up, organization, time card review, machinery maintenance, and all production tasks

* Work with shop foreman to schedule construction and labor force

* Quality control of work in progress

* Work with purchasing agent to stay ahead of materials supply

* Construction of plugs and patterns for FRP molds
